Anise Hyssop has strong square stems (a signature feature of the mint family) that are topped with flower spikes, each containing dozens of smaller lavender little flowers that blossom at different times making for a wonderfully long bloom time. With so many small flowers always blooming, Anise Hyssop is aways attracting a wide variety of pollinators including bumblebees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Enjoy the soft look of the lush green leaves with silver undersides that dance in the wind. Anise Hyssop is edible making a wonderful tea to aid digestion and smells of anise or licorice. Easy to grow, and often flowering in its first year, it is a hardy plant that self-sows readily and is drought tolerant, once established.
