Barren Strawberry has shiny vibrant green leaves and yellow flowers that offer a spring bloom that rise above the foliage.

Spreading slowly by runners, Barren Strawberry makes a great ground cover. Because of its dense clump forming growth, it is great for suppressing weeds and stabilizing soil.

Strawberry may be in its name, but the fruit is inedible to humans. It is however, enjoyed by waxwing and thrushes as a food source.
