Harebell is a shorter perennial that grows thin stems topped with nodding bell shaped flowers. Because of its slender stems, they sometimes bend and flop. Flowers are enjoyed by hummingbirds, butterflies and many other pollinators. Harebell makes a lovely delicate cut flower, and as an added bonus the trimming (or just deadheading) can also extend the bloom time.

Harebell does not enjoy competition so be sure give space and not plant near more aggressive natives. It is great for rock gardens to fill in crevices where it can have room to grow without competition.

Companion Plants: Butterfly Milkweed, Button Blazing Star, Flowering Spurge, New Jersey Tea, Prairie Smoke, Wild Columbine
